Larry Carlson, the principal of Carlson Arbitration, L.L.C., serves as an arbitrator in complex cases nationwide. He is a member of the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") Roster of Neutrals for Large, Complex Cases and is also an arbitration neutral for the American Health Lawyers Association ("AHLA"). Since early 2011, Mr. Carlson has served as an arbitrator, either the single arbitrator or a member of a three person arbitration panel, in eighty-six arbitration cases administered by the AAA, by the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (the international division of the AAA), or by the AHLA.

For thirty-two years, Mr. Carlson was a trial lawyer at Baker Botts, L.L.P. At Baker Botts, he first chair tried more than thirty cases to conclusion, handled multiple temporary injunction evidentiary hearings, and represented parties in two AAA arbitration cases that proceeded to award following multi-week evidentiary hearings. He argued appeals before the United States Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and Federal Circuits, the Supreme Court of Texas, and various Texas Courts of Appeals. Mr. Carlson is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and an Associate of the American Board of Trial Advocates. As a trial lawyer at Baker Botts, he was Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, was listed in The Best Lawyers in America, and was recognized as a "Texas Super Lawyer."

At the end of 2010, Mr. Carlson left Baker Botts to found Carlson Arbitration, L.L.C., and transition his practice from litigator to arbitrator. Limiting his professional activity to service as an arbitrator, he now applies the judgment and experience he gained during his thirty-two year career as a trial lawyer to ensure that parties to arbitration cases receive the benefits promised by arbitration ? accuracy, speed, efficiency, and finality.
