Rosen Harwood was founded in 1967 by Judge Gordon Rosen (Municipal Court of the City of Tuscaloosa, 1970-1984) and Judge R. Bernard Harwood, Jr. (Alabama Supreme Court, retired). Judge Harwood remains active in the firm's practice. While having the benefit of an impressive heritage, the firm maintains an innovative approach to the high quality service it provides. Rosen Harwood continually adapts to advancing technology and legal trends. To serve clients most effectively, our attorneys utilize highly developed software, online research tools, and online access to court and probate records. Partnering with a local bank and accounting firm in 2009 to build a four-story office complex on the Black Warrior River, Rosen Harwood is pleased to be a contributor to the community's riverfront development. The City of Tuscaloosa welcomed the development, as it promoted the City's goal of maximizing the river's potential as a public and private place. The environmentally-friendly building is the first LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified project in West Alabama. Each member of the Rosen Harwood team feels a personal responsibility and accountability for delivering the best services to each and every client. The firm's commitment to excellence and the West Alabama community extends beyond its office doors. Rosen Harwood is proud to provide longstanding support to both legal-related organizations whose mission is to provide legal services to underserved communities, as well as a variety of other community organizations.
