Robert Bressman Rejoins Mayer Brown

Mayer Brown is excited to announce that Robert Bressman rejoined the firm at their New York office after being away for over ten years. Bressman will be a partner in the firm's global Real Estate practice. He left Goulston & Storrs where he was a partner. Before that he was a partner with Willkie Farr & Gallagher. The last time Bressman was with Mayer Brown was from 1992 to 2006.

Co-leader of the global Real Estate practice, Jeffrey Usow said, “With more than 30 years of experience, Bob is highly regarded for advising clients on a wide variety of sophisticated commercial real estate transactions. We are thrilled to welcome Bob back to the firm, where he will add further depth and breadth to our impressive real estate bench in New York – one of the world’s strongest real estate investment markets – and across the globe.”

Bressman will focus his practice on complex real estate financing, leasing and joint venture transactions in addition to major hotel, office development and equity deals. His work involves advising national insurance companies and financial institutions in negotiating, closing and documenting acquisition, construction and permanent financing, as well as in many more areas.

Partner-in-charge of the New York office, Richard Spehr added, “We are delighted to have Bob back at the firm, where his deep knowledge in handling real estate matters will benefit clients both in New York and around the world.”

He earned his J.D. from Rutgers Law School and his B.A. from Columbia University.
