Akerman LLP, a top 100 US law firm, is continuing to expand its New York office. The office, Akerman’s second largest, welcomed John Campo and Sanford David as partners. Campo joins the bankruptcy and reorganization group, while Davis joins the tax group.

Campo joins from Troutman Sanders. He will focus his practice on advising debtors, creditors, trustees, asset purchasers, and equity holders through Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 cases. His experience includes working with large, complex, bankruptcy proceedings. Campo has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and The American Lawyer.

Davis joins from Withers Bergman LLP. He has extensive experience with international tax cases. He represents clients who are both privately and publicly traded companies, investment funds, and high net worth investors with US and international tax matters. He focuses on corporate, partnership, M&A, finance, joint venture and international taxation.
