Previously at Morrison & Foerster LLP , Michael Cohen has switched firms to join Blank Rome LLP. Cohen was a partner at Morrison & Foerster for 16 years, leading their Corporate practice in Los Angeles. Now Cohen will be a member of the Corporate, M&A, and Securities Group at Blank Rome.
 
Cohen will focus his practice on a range of corporate, real estate, and other various business transactions that emphasize mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, and general outside counsel representation.
 
Blank Rome’s Chairman and Managing Partner Alan J. Hoffman said, “We are thrilled to have Michael join us and contribute to the strategic growth of our Los Angeles office. Michael has extensive experience representing middle-market companies in business transactions, a market that is eager to raise capital, grow business, and pursue mergers and acquisitions in 20106.”
 
Cohen has extensive experience in a range of industries such as branded apparel and consumer products, print media, cable television, entertainment, professional services, healthcare, technology, hospitality, professional sports, and more. He has worked with numerous real estate transactions involving complex acquisition and disposition transactions, construction projects, leasing arrangements, sale-leaseback transactions, and real estate development partnerships and joint ventures.
 
His hobbies extend outside the legal realm into the world of motorsports where he serves on the Board of Directors of the National Hot Rod Association. He earned his J.D. from Loyola Law School while also serving as the editor of the Loyola Law Review. He received his B.A. from the University of California in Los Angeles.
