Baker Donelson Adds Jean Frydman to Intellectual Property Group

The practice area of food and drug law has taken a critical step forward for Baker Donelson with the hiring of Jean W. Frydman to the firm’s Intellectual Property Group.

Ms. Frydman will join the Firm's Baltimore office, and act as of counsel. Previously, Ms. Frydman served as general counsel for multinational pharmaceutical companies and a multinational retail company.

Ms. Frydman also has significant experience handling regulatory compliance matters for private and publicly held pharmaceutical, medical device and dietary supplement companies. She regularly provides strategic legal counsel and compliance reports to boards of directors while also serving as a trusted legal adviser to executive management and business leaders.

In addition, Ms. Frydman has extensive experience advising senior management on new Food and Drug Administration (FDA) rules, proactive submissions to the FDA, USDA and Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) compliance and other significant enforcement issues.

"Jean brings more than 30 years of in-house experience to our group and possesses an in-depth knowledge of food and drug law, including regulatory and compliance issues facing clients from a variety of industries," said Edward Ramage, co-chair of Baker Donelson's Intellectual Property Group. "Her understanding of the regulatory environment clients are facing will allow us to better serve our clients, making her a tremendous asset to our team."

Ms. Frydman is a member of the New Jersey Chapter of the American Corporate Counsel Association, the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society and the American Bar Association. She is a graduate of the Chicago-Kent College of Law.
