Morrison & Foerster Expands Tax Group Morrison & Foerster announced the addition of a senior tax partner to their New York office. Anthony “Tony” Carbone will benefit the firm’s growing Bankruptcy, M&A, Private Equity, and Fund Formation practices and will be co-chair of the Global Tax Department and co-chair of the Federal Tax Group. Carbone joins from Willkie Farr & Gallagher.

Carbone, a Certified Public Accountant, will focus on tax planning strategies and tax consequences of business and investment transactions in the U.S. and internationally. This includes advising on all types of leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, restructurings, and other investment transactions.

Carbone earned his J.D. from Syracuse University, as well as a Masters in Accounting. He also has a Masters of Law from New York University in taxation and B.S. in accounting from Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
