Mayer Brown Adds to Chicago Office
Summary: Mayer Brown added partner Matthew D. O’Meara to their Chicago Banking & Finance practice.
Mayer Brown announced the addition of a new partner to their Chicago office. Finance lawyer Matthew D. O’Meara will join the Banking & Finance practice where he will lead the global Private Credit group. He joins Mayer Brown from Jones Day.
Mayer Brown’s global Lending group co-leader Frederick C. Fisher said, “Matt is highly regarded as a market-leading finance lawyer, and we are very excited to welcome him to the firm. O’Meara has over 20 years of experience working with clients in complex debt financing transactions, especially domestic and cross-border acquisition finance. His clients regularly include asset managers, banks, finance companies, business development companies, private equity funds, institutional investors, and issuers.
O’Meara said, “Mayer Brown’s extensive finance platform, coupled with its strengths in a wide variety of complimentary practice areas, was a compelling reason to join the firm.
