Perkins Coie announced the addition of Robert A. Burgoyne to their Commercial Litigation practice. Burgoyne will join the Washington D.C. office as a partner. He joins from Norton Rose Fulbright where he was a partner.

Burgoyne brings over 35 years of experience with complex civil matters in state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels as well as before foreign tribunals. He will focus on contract and commercial disputes, copyright infringement, higher education disputes, and litigation involving state and federal agencies, including Administrative Procedures Act and Americans with Disabilities Act challenges.

Firmwide Chair of Perkins Coie’s Commercial Litigation practice, Katie O’Sullivan, said, “Bob is a highly respected attorney with a broad range of knowledge and experience in federal and state courts. His skills as a trial lawyer and extensive background across a range of regulatory and commercial litigation matters is a strategic fit for our Commercial Litigation practice.”

Washington D.C. Office Managing Partner Bill Malley added, “Adding a senior litigator of Bob’s caliber and experience strongly complements our existing litigation bench, both nationally and in Washington. His unique area of focus and regulatory overlap will create opportunities to collaborate on larger litigation matters.”

Burgoyne earned his J.D. from the University of North Carolina and a B.A. from Ohio Wesleyan University.
