Perkins Coie Expands Bay Area Team

Perkins Coie welcomed a new partner to their Emerging Companies & Venture Capital (ECVC) practice in San Francisco. Matt Kirmayer is joining Perkins Coie from the Palo Alto office of Lowenstein Sandler LLP, where he was a member of The Tech Group.

Co-Chair of the Perkins Coie’s ECVC practice, Buddy Arnheim, said, “Matt is nationally recognized for his exceptional support of and strategic counsel to innovative technology start-ups. He is a trusted advisor to clients and a respected mentor to entrepreneurs. I am delighted to welcome him to the firm.”

Kirmayer has over 25 years of experience handling emerging company and venture capital ecosystem matters such as numerous seed and venture financings for technology and life sciences companies. He also developed expertise in advising clients in securities offerings and mergers and acquisitions.

Kirmayer received an LL.M. from New York University School of Law, a J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law and a B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany. He is a mentor at the Lester Center for Entrepreneurial at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
