Litigation Trial Lawyer Joins Mayer Brown Mayer Brown announced today the addition of an experienced business litigation trial lawyer to their Houston office. Robert Harrell will join the law firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice as a partner. He joins from Norton Rose Fulbright where he led the financial institutions and insurance litigation practice.
 
Michael Lackey, the leader of Mayer Brown’s global Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice, said, “With more than three decades of experience, Bob is an uncommonly talented, nationally known business litigation trial lawyer who has tried over 50 court cases and arbitration disputes to verdict or judgment during his career. Bob’s skill in handling a broad range of business litigation cases – particularly those involving corporate governance and D&O – significantly enhances Mayer Brown’s complex commercial litigation offerings while complementing the firm’s strong transactional capabilities in Houston and across the US.”

Harrell earned his J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law and his B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin. He served as a law clerk to the Honorable Joe Ingraham, United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit after law school. He is certified in civil trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1986 and is also a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
