Venable Promotes Eight Attorneys to Counsel

Venable LLP announced the promotion of eight of their attorneys to counsel. The promoted attorneys – Hirsch M. Ament, Jessica H. Braun, Nichole Cohen, Logan M. Elliott, Diana M. Krevor, Julia Lane Mooney, Sarah S. Park and Adam G. Possidente – are from the law firm’s Washington D.C., Baltimore, Los Angeles, New York and Tysons offices. The new counsel work in a range of the firm’s groups, including Corporate, Intellectual Property, Real Estate, and Advertising.

In a joint statement, Co-Managing Partners Lawrence H. Gesner and Daniel P. Moylan said, “These attorneys have done consistently outstanding legal work, have received superior evaluations, and have demonstrated the required productivity, character and commitment to the firm and their clients to warrant this elevation in status. We will continue to expect great success from each.”

In the Baltimore office will be Ament, Cohen, and Krevor. Ament will focus on corporate law matters such as corporate governance, securities transactions, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate investment trusts. Cohen will focus on real estate matters like the acquisition, sale, financing, leasing, management, and restructuring of commercial real estate. Krevor will represent clients with a range of environmental and energy law matters, including clean water act litigation, transactions with contaminated properties, and regulatory compliance and permitting.

In the Tysons, VA office, Braun will advise clients in corporate and transactional matters. This will include mergers and acquisitions, government services, defense, and technology industries.

Elliott is in the Los Angeles office as an experienced trial and appellate litigator focusing on clients in high-stakes business litigation matters.

The New York office will have Park and Possidente as their new counsel. Park will represent clients in business disputes with international arbitration, advertising, and intellectual property. Possidente will work with clients in complex commercial litigation, intellectual property litigation, and employment litigation.

The Washington, D.C. office welcomes Mooney’s promotion. She will advise clients on a range of commercial real estate transactions, focusing on acquisition, disposition, financing, development, and leasing.
