Quarles & Brady Welcome Senior OIG Enforcement Attorney

Quarles & Brady Welcome Senior OIG Enforcement Attorney National law firm Quarles & Brady LLP made an announcement today regarding their latest addition. Attorney David Blank will join the Washington D.C.’s office in their Health Law Practice Group. He joins from a career with the government where he spent ten years as a senior counsel for the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General (OIG).

Washington D.C. office managing partner Larry Cote said, “David is an excellent addition to our D.C. office and our national health law practice. Our health law clients will benefit greatly from his regulatory expertise.”

Blank will focus his work on fraud and abuse, corporate compliance and governance, and litigation matters. When he was with the government he focused on health care fraud and abuse matters involving the False Claims Act, Civil Monetary Penalties Law, and federal program exclusion authorities. He led hundreds of investigations and enforcement actions against providers and suppliers like life science companies, hospitals, home health companies, pharmacies, physician practices, device and durable medical equipment manufacturers, long-term care providers, and individual practitioners.

Blank earned his J.D. from Nova Southeastern University Law Center and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida.
