Eric P. Christofferson Moves to DLA Piper in Boston

Former assistant U.S. attorney Eric P. Christofferson will be joining DLA Piper. Christofferson will be a partner in the Litigation practice in their Boston office. He has spent the past six years in the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Boston.

While serving six years as an assistant U.S. attorney, Christofferson worked primarily in the Criminal Division’s Economic Crimes Unit. There he investigated and prosecuted Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violations, securities fraud, insider trading, mortgage fraud, and tax fraud with nine criminal cases reaching a verdict.

Co-chair of the global and US Litigation practices, Loren Brown, said, “Eric immediately enhances our global white collar and investigations platforms, as well as our national trial bench. Our clients will value his counsel as they continue to navigate a complex regulatory and enforcement environment.”

Before becoming a U.S. attorney, Christofferson was with Ropes & Gray in Boston. There he worked on white collar and complex civil litigation matters for clients in a range of industries, including financial services and life sciences.

Christofferson earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and his A.B. from Harvard College.
