Barreras was the director and counsel in the legal department for Societe Generale in New York from 2008 to 2015. There he managed a group of lawyers providing legal coverage for hedge fund and registered fund financing and derivatives businesses, proprietary index-linked structured products, structured notes program, insurance-linked products, and asset-backed financing business.
