Seyfarth Shaw Adds Two Partners in Washington D.C.

The Corporate department at Seyfarth Shaw LLP has seen a boost in Washington D.C. The team added two experienced partners – John D. Shire and William B. Eck – from Washington D.C. offices. Shire joins from Fox Rothschild while Eck will be leaving the health law boutique Hooper, Lundy & Bookman.
Chair of Seyfarth’s Corporate department, Paul Mattingly, said “John and Bill are exceptional corporate lawyers. 2016 has been a year of growth for our transactional and regulatory practices, especially in the healthcare, M&A and energy areas. Seyfarth has made several additions to their firm in the past year. The Corporate department focuses on mergers and acquisitions, investment management, securities, commercial transactions, corporate counseling, international business, financing, and tax planning.
Shire earned his J.D. from the Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law and his B.A. from Bucknell University. While at Pennsylvania State’s law school, he was the Associate Editor of The Dickinson Law Review.
Eck received his J.D. from Harvard Law School and his B.A. from Loyola University of Chicago, where he was the Valedictorian. He now has over 30 years of experience in regulatory, transactional, and enforcement of health law.
