International Trade and Investment Practice at Hogan Lovells Gets New Addition
Summary: With an extensive background in international trade matters, the addition of Jared Wessel to the International Trade and Investment Group at Hogan Lovells will greatly benefit their clients.
Wessel’s previous experience has built his knowledge to be a valuable asset for the firm. He previously worked as the Associate General Counsel in the Office of the United States Trade Representative. There he represented the United States in international trade litigation that went before the World Trade Organization as well as other tribunals. He also gave legal and policy advice on issues like environment, energy, labor, sanctions, trade remedies, and trade secrets.
Before serving at the USTR, he worked as an attorney with a major international law firm. He has also served in New York City as an Adviser Permanent Mission to the United Nations, Republic of Palau. There he helped handle legal and national security matters.

, Wessel will work with clients on international trade and investment matters such as antidumping and countervailing duties, sanctions compliance, international investment policy and arbitration, trade policy, and WTO dispute resolution.
