Greenberg Traurig Brings New Shareholder on Board
Summary: A new shareholder has joined the Securities Litigation team in Greenberg Traurig’s San Francisco office.
Coming from the law firm Winston & Strawn LLP as a partner, Donald S. Davidson is excited to join the widely known international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP. Davidson will be joining the firm as a shareholder in their Securities Litigation department in the San Francisco office.

With a J.D. earned from Rutgers University School of Law and a B.A. from State University of New York, Stony Brook, Davidson is prepared to represent clients in litigation and regulatory inquiries that involve the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Department of Justice, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and other regulators.
Davidson is admitted to practice law in California, Nevada, New Jersey, and New York, proving him to be a valuable asset for Greenberg Traurig. He has worked with the U.S. Attorney’s Office and as in-house counsel so he has a little bit of experience everywhere.
Davidson was a deputy chief of the Criminal Division in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey, prosecuting complex white collar crime cases such as RICO, tax, public corruption, and international money laundering matters. Before working here, he served as the deputy general counsel and senior vice president at UBS Financial Services Inc. There he managed the Private Client Litigation Group.
As a securities lawyer, Davidson is experienced with handling broker-dealers, financial institutions, investment advisers, and investment company matters. These matters include regulatory inquiries, revenue sharing, enforcement proceedings, municipal finance, market timing, insider trading, and many more.
