Dickstein Shapiro Public Policy Team Shifts Base to Greenberg Traurig
Andrew Zausner, recent Chair of Dickstein Shapiro's Public Policy & Law Practice is joining Greenberg Traruig along with 12 other stalwarts including people like former Senator Tim Hutchinson, former Representative Albert R. Wynn, and former Representative Pete Hoekstra. Zausner is joining as Chair of Greenberg Trarurig's Washington, D.C. Government Law and Policy Practice.
Greenberg Trarurig's CEO Richard Rosenbaum said, "To a person, these first-class individuals stand for character, integrity and substance, and will advance the interests of a broad range of our clients. As the chair of Dickstein Shapiro's Public Policy & Law Practice group, Zausner used to focus on the legislative activities of the firm. He has played a crucial role in numerous legislative issues, particularly with those related to energy, consumer products, real estate, natural resources, international relations and healthcare.
Commenting on the reasons for him and his team joining Greenberg Traurig, Zausner said, "The world has changed ... Clients want the kind of broad yet unified and efficient presence that Greenberg Traurig can uniquely deliver. Greenberg Traurig reported in their press release that in the last one month close to 40 attorneys and lobbyists have joined the Washington D.C. office of the law firm.
Greenberg Traurig has been providing additional attention on lobbying practice in D.C. after Patton Boggs merged with Squire Sanders and a large number of partners left the merger to join Greenberg Traurig. Senior partners from Patton Boggs, Robert Brams and Michael Schaengold are currently Co-Chair of Greenberg Traurig's Government Contracts & Projects Practice group in Washington D.C.
