Michale D. Van Loy, an attorney practicing in the intellectual property section of Mintz Levin Cohn Ferris Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., was selected to serve as vice chair of the Mit Enterprises forum San Diego, Mr. Van Loy will serve in this position for one year. The Mit Enterprises forum San Diego focuses on education, networking, and community among business leaders, technologists, capital and service providers in the San Diego area. The group discusses the business issues of the leading technology and life science companies in a public forum and uses of unique business case study method or uncovers valuable insights about presenting companies. The forum hoses ten programs annually including seven case studies. Two special topic programs and a summer wine social. Mr. Ven loy's practice focuses on patent prosecution and related activities, including IP Portfolio strategy advising; drafting and prosecution of patent application; preparation of patentability, infringement, and validity opinions ;and licensing negotiations.
