Goodwin Procter expands its L.A. and S.F. practices
Boston-based Goodwin Procter has revamped its West Coast office management with a spree of lateral hires. Joining its Los Angeles office are four attorneys from Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman. Pillsbury's former Los Angeles real estate head and national public finance practice team leader, Lewis G. Feldman, will run Goodwin's L.A.-based national public finance practice. Six attorneys will join its San Francisco practice, including Edward S. Weltman, who will relocate from the firm's New York office. The other lawyers are from top-notch law firms, including Cooley Godward and Pillsbury.

Bracewell & Giuliani appoints three new partners
The international firm of Bracewell & Giuliani has announced new recruits in its mergers and acquisitions private investment fund group. Mark Palmer, Jonathan Gill, and Robb Tretter have joined the firm as partners in its New York office. Previously working with Linklaters , Palmer, Gill, and Tretter specialize in mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance issues, private/public takeovers, joint ventures, investments, and reorganizations, both nationally and internationally. With offices in New York; London; Washington, DC; Texas; and Kazakhstan, Bracewell is strategically positioned to serve client needs worldwide.

Allen & Overy adds experts to New York team
Allen & Overy has appointed Howard M. Goldwasser and Lawton M. Camp as partners in its New York office. Both were previously partners in the Structured Finance Group of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, LLP. Goldwasser became partner with Orrick in 1999 and has broad Japanese and U.S. securitization experience. Camp joined Orrick in 2001 and has experience in a variety of structured finance transactions, which include collateralized loan, bond, and debt obligations; synthetic collateralized debt obligations; and various derivative instruments and structured financial products.

GrayRobinson President to continue for another five years
Byrd F. Marshall, Jr., President and Managing Partner of the Florida firm GrayRobinson, has received a five-year extension on his position. As President and Managing Partner since 1992, he becomes one of the longest-serving managers of one of the largest law firms in Florida. Guiding the firm through a tremendous period of growth, Marshall was recognized as one of the Top Managing Partners in 2005 by Florida Trend magazine. Under his leadership, GrayRobinson emerged as a regional central Florida firm and blossomed into a 190-attorney, 10-office firm.

Paul Hastings hires new litigator
Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, LLP, complements its existing securities litigation practice with the appointment of Tom Zaccaro in its Los Angeles office. Zaccaro's practice will focus on securities litigation, SEC and parallel investigations, and white-collar defense. He previously worked with Akin Gump and has headed the litigation department for the SEC Enforcement Division in the Pacific Region. Paul Hastings has more than 225 lawyers in its Litigation Department and 150 litigators in its Employment Department.

Entertainment lawyer joins Foley & Lardner
M. Kenneth Suddleson, a prominent entertainment transactional attorney, has left Morrison & Foerster to join the Los Angeles office of Foley & Lardner. With a vision to expand its entertainment law practice, Foley & Lardner has named Suddleson as Of Counsel in the Business Law Department and Entertainment & Media Industry Team. Suddleson excels in representing clients in various entertainment laws, including motion pictures, television, music, and new media. He was a partner in the Entertainment and New Media Group in the Los Angeles office of Morrison & Foerster.

Clifford Chance hires two top-notch lawyers from Paul Hastings
Two senior attorneys from Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker have joined Clifford Chance. John P. Howitt and Ray Warman will strengthen the firm's finance and restructuring practice and are joining the firm as partner and counsel, respectively. The New York office of Clifford Chance now has 300 lawyers, including 60 partners.
