Boosts London Office
Jones Day is boosting its London office by grabbing a couple of partners from Mayer Brown. Stephen Brown and Michael Brown, along with an associate, are jumping to Jones Day. Corporate litigation appears to be the focus.
Wolf Block and Akerman Senterfitt Fail to Merge
Wolf Block and Akerman Senterfitt have called off their merger due to what Wolf Block calls $10 million in insurance work that wasn’t able to be resolved. Wolf Block will now possibly seek a merger with another firm.
Arnstein & Lehr Look to Double Florida Offices
Arnstein & Lehr, a firm based in Chicago, is seeking to double its attorney count in Florida in an attempt to give all its practice groups a representation in the Sunshine State. The firm looks to go from 43 to about 90 lawyers in its four offices in the state.
