I don't have experience working with any other search firms, but my legal placement professional was just really available to talk, she was helpful and it was a positive experience. I felt comfortable talking to her about any concerns I had and she was very responsive whenever I had questions. I basically didn't even have to do anything in my search.

[My favorite things about working with BCG were] the regular weekly updates and information. Other people, you contact them and you don't hear back from them for weeks. My legal placement professional was just great, from the intake and talking with me about opportunities and tidying up my resume to my experience and the negotiations, it was really great dealing with her! You essentially took care of everything. Helping with the pre-process of ensuring I was showing all of my qualifications and skills in the best possible way. [She made it easier by] searching for positions that would be best for me and making those arrangements. During the offer of employment and those negotiations and conversations she worked directly with the firm for me so it was very good. I didn't have to do much on my end except communicate with my legal placement professional and obviously do the interviews and stuff, but other than that BCG handled everything so that was great!Q. I have not used anyone other than BCG in the past but in putting myself out there for a new position I did get called by recruiters from other firms and I would have to say that I prefer BCG over the other firms. You seem to have it more together in terms of really looking out for the candidate you are working with and trying to look at various positions. Also, working with candidate to have them present themselves the best possible way they can. I didn't necessarily get that feeling from the other 2 or 3 recruiting firms that I spoke to.

My legal placement professional was very attentive and very much aware of what I wanted, what I didn't want, she was casting a wide net, but she took into account what I was really looking for so I really appreciated that instead of doing the mass resume thing. I like that she was really responsive and one of the things I really appreciated about working with her is that she was very involved, I had issues like when should I send my notice and so on and she basically guided me through the whole thing and is still guiding me so I really appreciated that about working with her. First of all, BCG allowed me to know about opportunities that I wouldn't have known about otherwise, so that presented more opportunities than I would have found on my own. Second of all, my legal placement professional took care of everything in terms of the resume, cover letter and follow up that meant that I didn't have to do anything but approve or disapprove the jobs and that basically took care of the whole thing. BCG is definitely at the very top of my list of recruiters.

I ended up working with BCG, but I have friends who have worked with other recruiters who weren't very pleased. The other recruiters they worked with seemed very passive, where the recruiter submitted a resume once and that was the end of their experience. That was not my experience with BCG, in a good way. I would definitely recommend you guys to anyone I know who is looking for a recruiter, because I was extremely pleased with the service and the outcome. As for the process in general, I was impressed with how on top of things everyone was at BCG and how they monitor openings, finding ones that were suitable to my interests.
