Corporate Litigator Joins Blank Rome
Summary: Blank Rome welcomed a new partner to their energy and corporate litigation teams located in their Houston office.
Blank Rome LLP added a new partner to their team in Houston. The Corporate Litigation group and Energy industry group will welcome Elizabeth E. Klingensmith as a partner. She joins from Haynes and Boone LLP.
Klingensmith will be the newest addition to the six-year-old Houston office. The firm opened the location when it merged with Abrams, Scott & Bickley in 2011, which added a number of top litigation attorneys with experience in the energy industry to their capabilities. The firm has continued its growth since with other mergers and added attorneys.
Blank Rome’s Chairman and Managing Partner Alan Hoffman said, “We’re thrilled that Liz is joining us in Houston. Liz is a natural go-getter and our Houston office and energy industry team will provide her with the opportunity to further develop her already strong energy litigation practice. Liz is also passionate about engaging young and diverse professionals within the energy sector and we look forward to the mentorship she’ll provide for young attorneys at Blank Rome and beyond.”
She will focus her work on oil and gas litigation by representing large and small companies in their operations and transactions in Texas and North Dakota.
Administrative Partner at Blank Rome’s Houston office Barry Abrams added, “Liz is an all-around talented litigator with impressive experience in the oil and gas sector. There are natural synergies between the energy markets in Houston, Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia, particularly as it relates to Marcellus Shale work, and Liz will be a great asset to our teams and our clients in the regions.”
Klingensmith earned her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center and his B.A. and B.M. from Rice University.
