Washington D.C. office seeks mid-level attorney with 4+ years of government contracts experience. The candidate should have experience representing clients in a range of government contract disputes, including contract claims, cost accounting issues, False Claims Act cases, and bid protests. Should have experience in providing advice to both government contractors and corporate clients regarding compliance with federal government regulations and laws. Must have particular experience investigating potential violations of the Procurement Integrity Act, organizational conflicts of interest, and procurement fraud, and should have guided clients through suspension and debarment proceedings before a variety of federal agencies. Should ideally also have worked with clients to design and implement new or revised compliance systems tailored to the unique requirements of federal government contracting. Experience working as due diligence counsel preceding the acquisition or sale of a government contractor, with a specific focus on concerns regarding the protection of technical data, patent rights, and other intellectual property, and compliance with NISPOM requirements is essential. Should have experience providing advice regarding the negotiation of contracts with state and local government entities, federal subcontracts, teaming agreements, and GSA Multiple Award Schedule contracts.
