Large firm's Chicago office seeks mid-level patent litigation attorney with 3-6 years of solid patent litigation experience. Electrical or Computer Engineering degree required. Experience dealing with telecommunications patents preferred.
"One of the nation's oldest, largest and hottest Chicago law firms, with offices in several of the major cities in the U.S. as well as the world. It has one of the best litigation practice groups in the country. The firm is a full service firm, meaning that it has respectable intellectual property, employee benefits, energy, corporate, securities, finance and other practice groups. It has grown tremendously through mergers with other firms, and lateral hires. The firm hires from the best regional law schools, as well as the well know national schools. It is not a law school snob at all, but requires superior grades. Client contact is early, and associates are given as much responsibility as they can handle. But client service is paramount and associates are expected to produce top quality work. Just because you are well compensated, you are not necessarily required to work on weekends, but most lawyers bill well over 2000 hours per year. The work is demanding, but you can feel assured that you are in one of the post prestigious litigation law firms in the country. "
