Raymond Wong Joins Seyfarth Shaw as Partner
Summary: Seyfarth Shaw welcomed a new addition to their Hong Kong team in the International Corporate and Commercial practice.
Seyfarth Shaw LLP is continuing to grow its presence in Hong Kong with the addition of a new member of their International Corporate and Commercial practice. Raymond Wong will join as a partner in the Asia-Pacific region. He will also be the managing partner for the office.
Seyfarth chair and managing partner Pete Miller said, “Working with many of the world’s leading companies, we are committed to addressing their growing cross-border transactional needs in the Asia-Pacific region.”
Wong is a highly respected commercial and corporate lawyer for the area. He joins from King & Wood Mallesons. He will focus his practice on mergers & acquisitions, corporate strategies, general corporate & commercial, IPOs, public takeovers, and regulatory compliance in Hong Kong, China, and the UK. Wong has worked with a number of Chinese and international clients through global offerings and listings on the Hong Kong, Shanghai, Tokyo, Luxembourg, London, and New York Stock Exchanges.
The firm just opened its doors this year when they announced on February 27 the addition of Julia Gorham as a partner leading the International Employment practice. She was the former head of DLA Piper’s Asia Employment Law group.
Chair Darren Gardner of the International practice added, “Raymond brings very strong transactional experience in several key financial centers around the world that are central to our International Corporate and Commercial practice. We are very excited to have him join Julia and the rest of our team in Hong Kong.”
