Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie LLP welcomed two litigators to their Silicon Valley office. Stuart Bartow and Terry Ahearn will be part of the Intellectual Property practice group. The firm has a strong roster of 70 intellectual property attorneys, patent agents, and technical specialists working from their 10 offices.

Ahearn and Bartow have worked for two other national firms on major patent litigation cases. Managing Partner Kenneth Van Winkle Jr. said, “Terry and Stuart bring leadership to our Silicon Valley office for continued growth in Northern California and beyond. These additions align well with our strategic plan which focuses on building our services in the key areas of intellectual property and technology.”

Intellectual Property Practice Group Co-Leader Art Hasan added, “With the addition of Terry and Stuart, and in view of the Supreme Court’s recent decision in TC Heartland, our firm is even more strongly positioned to represent companies in patent litigation throughout California and across the entire U.S.” The other IP Practice Group Co-Leader Emily Bayton noted, “Terry and Stuart go the distance for their clients. As litigators, they are battle-tested in numerous hard-fought intellectual property matters. Their trial experience and tech know-how provides clients, especially in Silicon Valley, immense value. We’re delighted to have them on the team.”

Ahearn earned his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law and his B.A. from Fordham University. He has been named three years in a row as an “IP Star” by Managing IP. He is experienced in intellectual property and complex commercial disputes involving science and technology.

Bartow has two Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Maryland, a Master of Science degree from Columbia University and a J.D. degree from Georgetown. As a registered patent attorney with a background in computer engineering and neuroscience, he is able to advise clients on intellectual property matters that go before U.S. federal courts, the ITC, the PTO, and other tribunals.
