Kirkland & Ellis Gets Boost in Munich Office
Summary: The Munich office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP welcomed a new addition to their Corporate Practice Group.
Kirkland & Ellis International LLP welcomed Volkmar Bruckner to their Munich office. He joins the Corporate Practice Group where he will focus on private equity and M&A matters.
Bruckner, 46, is joining Kirkland from Weil Gotshal & Manges where he had been since 2015. Prior to that, he was with Latham & Watkins for almost a decade. He is admitted to practice in Germany and New York, making him a valuable addition.
He advises clients that are private equity investors, corporations, and management teams through cross-border and complex domestic transactions. His specialty is leveraged buy-outs, joint ventures, and carve-outs.
Chairman Jeffery C. Hammes of Kirkland’s Global Management Executive Committee said, “The addition of Volkmar Bruckner contributes to our strategy of offering premier transactional services by market-leading teams in all markets in which Kirkland is present.”
