Oklahoma City Receives Its First Am Law 100 Firm
Summary: Oklahoma City welcomed Ogletree Deakins to their city, the first Am Law 100 firm in the state.
Oklahoma City introduced its first Am Law 100 firm to the city and state. Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C., one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, moved into the city. Leading the way are two established shareholders in the city – Sam Fulkerson and Vic Albert. They expect the office to grow quickly.
Managing shareholder of Ogletree Deakins Matt Keen said, “Oklahoma City is a burgeoning metropolitan area where many of our clients have business operations, and it’s become clear over recent years that our presence in Oklahoma would be beneficial for these clients. Sam and Vic are exceptional labor and employment attorneys who have practiced law in Oklahoma City for many decades. We are excited to work with Sam and Vic as they lead our transition into Oklahoma City and assist our clients with their labor and employment matters in the state and across the region.”
Fulkerson is joining the firm as the office managing shareholder from McAfee & Taft. He has over 25 years of experience in employment law. He has been recognized by Chambers USA, The Best Lawyers in America and Oklahoma Super Lawyers for his work. He earned his J.D. from the University of Oklahoma.
Albert joins Ogletree Deakins from Conner & Winters. He brings over 30 years of experience representing employers in federal and state labor and employment litigation as well as administrative investigations involving OSHA, EEOC, and DOL matters. Albert earned his J.D. from Oklahoma City University School of Law.
The Oklahoma City office is the firm’s 51st office in the world and the second office to open this year. They opened an office on January 9th in Sacramento.
