Litigator Joins Dinsmore in San Diego

The San Diego office of Dinsmore & Shohl LLP welcomed Robert G. Marasco to their Litigation Department in a move to continue their growth in California. Marasco will take on internal and government investigations, specializing in healthcare and data privacy matters as well as white collar criminal issues.

Marasco joins from Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch LLP. At Procopio, he served as the Privacy Officer, defending individuals and corporate clients through complex internal and government investigations. He has extensive experience with False Claims Act, Office of Foreign Assets Control, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and data privacy matters.
San Diego Office Managing Partner Joseph S. Marasco’s service as a federal prosecutor will bring expansive knowledge on how to advise clients with a variety of matters. As Assistant United States Attorney at the U.S. Attorney’s Offices in the District of New Jersey and the Southern District of California, he was frequently the lead prosecutor of hundreds of cases.
He is admitted to practice in New York, Washington D.C., and New Jersey. He served as a judicial clerk to two judges, one of which was Joel A. Pisano of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. His is active with the San Diego County Bar Association’s Legal Ethics Committee and is a Social Advocate for Youth (SAY) San Diego’s Teen Court. Marasco also often presents at legal seminars.
