Dykema, a leading national law firm, added corporate attorney Jarrod T. Smith to their Corporate Finance Practice Group as a senior. The Lansing office is excited to welcome the new addition to their team. Smith was the Assistant Attorney General in the Finance Division for the Michigan Department of Attorney General.

Smith brings over 12 years of experience in public finance work, starting when he joined the Michigan Department of Attorney General’s Finance Division after law school. While there, he moved up from Staff Attorney to Senior Attorney and eventually took over the role as Section Head in 2013. While in that final role, he was the counsel to the Michigan Department of Treasury, focusing on matters involving the Bureau of Bond Finance and the Michigan Finance Authority. He also served as counsel to the Michigan Strategic Fund.
