Dentons Names New Partner in Insurance Regulatory Group
Summary: Global law firm Dentons welcomed a new partner to their Insurance Regulatory practice that will be helping in two locations.
Dentons, a global law firm, named a new partner in their Insurance Regulatory practice. John J. Sarchio will take up office in the Miami and New York offices. He will focus on advising clients through insurance industry mergers, acquisitions and financings, reinsurance transactions, self-insurance and captive programs and insurance regulatory consulting and compliance.

Dentons U.S. Managing Partner Mike McNamara said, “We are pleased to welcome John to our insurance practice. His strong transactional experience provides additional depth to our insurance team while complementing our highly regarded regulatory and insurance litigation practice.”
Sarchio brings a depth of experience with insurance-related transactions such as insurance company demutualizations, bank-insurer affiliations, mutual insurer mergers, and reciprocal conversions. He has also counseled state and foreign governments with insurance issues, drafting laws, and regulations governing various aspects of the industry.
Sarchio said, “I am delighted to be joining an insurance team as broad and deep as Dentons. The Firm’s preeminent global platform is a perfect fit for my practice. I look forward to offering my clients the full range of Dentons’ impressive capabilities.”
He earned his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School where he also served as Executive Editor of the Law Review. Sarchio also received an LL.M. from the London School of Economics and a B.S. from Bucknell University.
