Chair of the Business Law Department Jack Lasater said, “Raj’s practice covers the comprehensive scope of tax law. His familiarity with fund formation transactions requires a specialized tax expertise that will be invaluable to our clients in the private equity and fund formation space.”
Tanden will focus his practice on working with clients in corporate and tax issues that range across a variety of domestic and cross-border transactions. His expertise will help clients with investment management transactions like the formation of and investments by public and private investment funds and investors. He also works with business development companies, public and private investment funds, real estate investment trusts, and closely held businesses.
As a fellow in the American College of Tax Counsel, Tanden will be a big asset for clients, including retail, beauty, and apparel companies as well as healthcare professionals and practices. His experience involves receiving innovative private letter rulings on behalf of clients from the Internal Revenue Service.
Managing partner of the Los Angeles office Jeff Atkin stated, “Raj is a recognized authority on tax law throughout the Southern California region and we look forward to having him as a part of our team.
