DLA Piper’s Phoenix Office Adds Partner from Greenberg Traurig
Summary: A new litigation partner has been added to the DLA Piper team in Phoenix from Greenberg Traurig LLP.
DLA Piper continues their expansion by added partner Laura Sixkiller to their litigation practice in Phoenix. Her focus will be on complex business and commercial litigation, including things like D&O fiduciary obligations, shareholder disputes, securities law violations, and real estate transactions. She was previously at Greeberg Traurig LLP.

Some of Sixkiller’s work has been with major financial institutions involved in lawsuits and enforcement actions from the Truth in Lending Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, the Unfair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Uniform Commercial Code, the Fair Housing Act, and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
She has also been involved with public utility and energy law where she represented clients in regulatory proceedings that went before the Arizona Corporation Commission for issues related to utility rates and financing, rulemakings, and siting and transmission.
Co-Chair of DLA Piper’s US Litigation practice James Brogan said, “Laura is one of the most sought-after litigators in the region, especially for complex securities real estate disputes. Additionally, her regulatory experience and handling of high-profile proceedings will be invaluable to our clients.”
Sixkiller also makes a point to be involved in the community such as the Boys and Girls Club, the Law College Association for the University of Arizona College of Law, and the American Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division.
She earned her J.D. from the University of Arizona and her B.A. from the University of Washington.
