Commercial Litigation Partner Added to Perkins Coie
Perkins Coie has welcomed Patrick S. Thompson to their Commercial Litigation team in San Francisco. The San Francisco office also recently added Dana Hayter to their office at the beginning of the month. Thompson is joining from Goodwin Procter LLP where he was a partner.
 
Thompson will focus his work on class action and antitrust litigation work. Chair of the Commercial Litigation practice at Perkins Coie, Joe Mais, said, “Patrick’s significant success in antitrust, class action and other complex litigation matters makes him a great addition to Perkins Coie. He brings a depth of knowledge in the food, technology and hospitality industries that will enhance the firm’s litigation capabilities in the Bay Area and nationally.”
 
His experience is the field includes representing clients that face federal and state claims of monopolization and price-fixing for over twenty years. He has defended class actions that involve the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, unfair business practice claims, and false advertising. His representation of clients in regulated industries includes defending them in proceedings and evidentiary hearings that go before the Federal Trade Commission and the California Public Utilities Commission.
 
Thompson just finished a term as the presidential appointee for the American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Publishing Oversight. He has also served on the Council of the ABA Antitrust Section and the Executive Committee of the Antitrust, UCL Section of the State Bar of California. He earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School and his B.A. from the University of Michigan.
