At their prior firm, Mallow and Campbell jointly chaired the Consumer Class Actions and Regulatory Defense practice.

Mallow, Campbell and four of the other lawyers will work in Los Angeles, while Kiser will work in Chicago.

Mike Kelley, the managing partner of Sidley's office in Los Angeles and member of the firm's executive committee, said, "We are excited to welcome Michael, Mark, Liv and their team to Sidley. Their extensive experience will significantly enhance the class action litigation capabilities we currently have in Los Angeles, Chicago and globally. In fact, they have recently been working side-by-side with Sidley lawyers in Los Angeles and Chicago in the joint representation of a major automobile manufacturer in the Takata air bag multi district class action litigation, so there is already an excellent working relationship in place and we know just how talented and experienced they are."

Mallow has represented clients in issues involving unfair competition, product defect, business torts, intellectual property, false and deceptive advertising and entertainment property. He has defended clients against investigations launched by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the Federal Trade Commission, the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Communications Commission.

Campbell handles false advertising, consumer class actions, patent, trademark, unfair competition and complex commercial disputes. Campbell has experience in the industries of dietary supplements, beverage and food.

Kiser's practice centers around risk management and dispute resolution involving the marketing and sale of products and services. She has represented clients in the health, retail, automotive, financial, dietary supplement, fitness, digital media, beverage, consumer product and food industries. She has defended clients against multi district consumer class and regulatory actions involving claims of false labeling, consumer fraud, false advertising and breach of warranty. She has also defended clients against other claims that have been filed under federal and state laws.

"With the addition of these partners, counsel and associates, we are strengthening our existing team of highly knowledgeable and skilled class action defense lawyers," said Mark Blocker, co-global leader of Sidley's Financial Services/Consumer Class Actions practice. "We are eager to begin collaborating with our new colleagues to continue providing our clients with the highest quality counsel."

Sidley Austin has 18 offices across the globe with more than 1,900 lawyers.

Summary: It was announced today that Sidley Austin has added a six-lawyer team to the firm's Consumer Class Actions Litigation team.
