Eight More Partners Leave Dewey & LeBoeuf

In what seems to be now almost a daily occurrence, there is news of more partners leaving the troubled law firm. This time, eight partners have jumped ship. Five of the partners are from its energy and infrastructure team who are leaving for Hunton & Williams, one is a litigator going to Dorsey & Whitney and two are corporate and securities partners who are going to Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman.

Dewey has also announced that it will be enforcing its 60-day notice requirement for partners who want to leave and partners who leave without serving the notice requirement can miss out on profit distributions. However, the quick and sudden departures of these partners seem to suggest that most of the partners leaving do not seem to be too concerned about that.
