Weil’s Bill for Lehman Stands at $383 Million


Weil, Gotshal & Manges played an important role in helping Lehman Brothers file for Chapter 11, which turned out to be the largest in U.S. history, and has helped the company emerge from bankruptcy after three years on Tuesday.

For this the law firm has already billed Lehman $383 million till January. The firm also billed another $7.4 million to Lehman that month. Weil is also handling the WaMu bankruptcy and has a bill of $71 million so far. Lehman is set to begin making repayments in April and owes lawyers, accountants and other professionals almost $1.6 billion.
