Skadden Takes Responsibility for Erroneous SEC Filing

Skadden has taken responsibility for accidentally filing details about a planned lease of a resort in Macau on behalf of casino mogul Steve Wynn.

A statement from Skadden said, "We learned earlier today that a clerk in our filing department inadvertently made an unauthorized filing with respect to Wynn Resorts Ltd.," It further added "We have taken steps to rectify the situation as quickly as possible and are reviewing what occurred to ensure that it cannot happen in the future."

The filing sent Wynn Resorts up by 5 % before the trading was halted and the company retracted the regulatory disclosure and said that the filing was made in error.
