Thompson Hine Senior Antitrust Partner Charged With Tax Fraud
Competition, antitrust and white-collar crime practice group's senior partner in Thompson Hine and Ohio State Bar Association's ex president, Leslie Jacobs, was held guilty to a federal charge of tax fraud. It was suspected that Jacobs has underreported his income from the firm by more than $250,000 between 2004 and 2007. This investigation against him was brought by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Ohio. John Siegel is leading the prosecution. Jacobs will be sentenced on January 17, and will face up to 21 months of imprisonment.
