Former U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales Joins Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis

Alberto Gonzales, former U.S. Attorney General, is planning to join Nashville-based firm Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis as counsel. He had left his job at Texas Tech University, as a visiting faculty, to take a full-time teaching position at Belmont University School of Law. Gonzales graduated from Harvard Law School and is an ex- partner of Vinson & Elkins. Immediately after leaving public service, Gonzales helped supervise Texas settlement talks in a federal patent case before taking the teaching position at Texas Tech in the summer of 2009. He also served as White House counsel prior to his appointment as attorney general in February 2005.
