FOS should stop considering cases of alleged fraud
Robert Morfee, partner of Clarke Wilmott, Bristol-based law firm, fights over cases of alleged fraud being considered by Financial Ombudsman Services. According to him, FOS should be denying to hear these cases so that they can be heard in front of a court. Robert believes that people should make an intelligent choice between the two forums available to them rather than sending the complaints to the Ombudsman without thinking. He emphasized that legal procedures are not widely exposed because many cases are settled on private terms especially in financial services.
