Srinivasan Appointed Principal Deputy Solicitor General of the United States

Sri Srinivasan has been named as Principal Deputy Solicitor General of the United States. He was associated as partner with O'Melveny & Myers. Srinivasan will replace Neal Katyal, who is joining Hogan Lovells . Solicitor General Donald B. Verrilli Jr. has praised him as one of the country's leading advocates before the Supreme Court. He argued 17 cases before the Supreme Court and won Hertz Corp. v. Friend and Skilling v. US during the 2009 term. He did his JD and MBA from Stanford Law School. He won year-long Bristow Fellowship in the Office of the Solicitor General and served as a law clerk for Justice Sandra Day O'Connor on the US Supreme Court. He did clerkship to former Chief Judge J. Harvie Wilkinson on the US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
