Baker & Daniels, a full-service law firm based in Indianapolis has been engaged in strategic combination discussions with Faegre & Benson, the largest law firm in Minneapolis. The formal merger talks have been going on for several months now. The name of this newly merged entity is yet to be determined. This new merger would have between 750 to 800 lawyers, which will be in the best interest of current clients of Baker & Daniels as well as Faegre & Benson. For the next several weeks, the firms will continue their outstanding diligence. Thomas Froehle, Jr., chair and chief executive partner at Baker & Daniels and Faegre chair Andrew Humphrey both see synergies in the firm’s corporate, intellectual property, and life sciences practice groups.
