Former Paul Hastings Partners Open Telecom Boutique in Washington
Former partners of Paul Hastings have started a new boutique law firm in Washington. Five former partners of the law firm have an expertise in Telecommunications Law. Carl Northrop, managing member of the new firm said ''The move was really motivated by recurring conflicts that arose at Paul Hastings.'' He was heading the international telecommunications practice. Other partners with the telecom firm also include Michael Lazarus, Andrew Morentz, John Griffith Johnson, Jr. and Vance Schuemann. Lazarus and Morentz are members of the new law firm. Johnson will serve as of counsel and Schuemann as a senior public policy adviser. The firm has also hired Jessica DeSimone as an associate.
