Ellen Ruff, once president of Duck Energy Carolinas and head of nuclear development for Duck Energy Corp., has joined law firm Mcguirewoods expanding energy practice in Charlotte. She is intended to work as a lawyer on energy issues. She will join four lawyers in the energy practice at Charlotte's second-largest law firm at McGuireWoods. Jim Kerr, co-chair of the firm's energy and climate change practice says her more than 30 years of experience in the industry, will help in the issues and challenges facing clients in the energy sector. She will be a great resource for the clients of the law firm. McGuireWoods is a full-service law firm with 900 lawyers in 19 offices worldwide, including Charlotte, Raleigh, and Wilmington within North Carolina.
