New Announcements from Davis, Polk & Wardwell
Last week, Thomas Reid was elected managing partner of Davis, Polk & Wardwell. He replaces John Ettinger, who stepped aside as managing partner after more than a decade. He remains on board as a partner and currently holds the record for longest tenure. Reid's not a newcomer to the Davis, Polk & Wardwell family, though; he's served on the firm's management committee the past three years and has been with the firm itself since the mid-1980s. He made partner in 1995. Reid says he's excited about the new home base after having traveled for the firm in London over the years. Reid is a graduate of Edinburgh School of Law and Columbia Law School.
