Top Law Schools Placing Grads at Top Firms at Lower Rates
According to a story published in the National Law Journal this week, the percentage of graduates from the country's top law schools filtering into the country's top law firms fell by 3 percent from the year 2009 to 2010.
The top 50 law schools sent 27.3% of their graduates to the NLJ's top 250 firms in 2010, while in 2009, those same 50 sent 30.3% of their class to the NLJ's top 250 firms.
Topping the list with the highest percentage of J.D.'s sent to top 250 firms is the University of Chicago's Law School, who sent more over half of their graduates to the NLJ's top firms.
