Former Missouri Senator Bond Joins Top St. Louis Firm
Christopher ''Kit'' Bond, the retired senator from Missouri, announced that he will return to the practice of law and join Thompson Coburn, a top St. Louis law firm.
At a press conference in St. Louis on Tuesday, Bond reassured the media that he would not use his ties to congress for lobbying.
''I joined this firm to be a lawyer, not to be a lobbyist. I do not plan to be involved in lobbying Congress,'' said Bond. He will work out of the firm's Washington office primarily, but will maintain duties in Missouri.
The firm released a press release regarding Bond's appointment, saying, ''At Thompson Coburn, Bond will advise clients in the areas of international trade, biotechnology, agriculture, cyber law and transportation and also consult on client issues that will bring economic development and job opportunities to [Missouri].''
